The Bell Family

Webster Family

So much info has emerged about this branch of the family that I have decided to put it onto a separate page. Some of the info has taken a lot of unraveling because of the use of the same first names through many generations, and a CLAUGHTON brother and sister marrying ORMRODs. At the time of writing (March 2004) we are still at the stage of sorting out this part of the family and have to verify the following with the relevant certificates etc.

This part of the family tree can be found by clicking here

Alexander WEBSTER married Margaret CRAYSTON at Heversham in 1813 they had several children one being Alexander WEBSTER.

Alexander (junior) married Mary SIMPSON in 1841 and farmed at Beetham Hall. One of their children Alexander married Eleanor ORMROD. They had 3 children Annie Mary, Emily and Eleanor. Unfortunately Alexander at died Low Foulshaw around the time that Eleanor was born.

Eleanor WEBSTER married Alfred Peter CLAUGHTON in 1895, they had 3 children Beatrice Legh, Piers Calveley, and Audrey Eleanor.

Alfred Peter CLAUGHTON was the son of Thomas CLAUGHTON and Mary MASHITER one of 7 (maybe 9) children. One of the other children Maria, married Oswald ORMROD the nephew of Eleanor ORMROD (see above).

Maria and Oswald emigrated to the US and had at least one son Hugh Dudley.
